I have other Drupal 8 sites running on the same server. ![]() As part of that process we looked at upgrading Composer 1 to 2. To force downloading an archive instead of cloning sources, use the -prefer-dist option in combination with -no-dev. If yes, try clearing composers cache or try adding -cache-dir/dev/null. In a previous article we looked at upgrading 8.9.19 to 9.2.6. Check with composer update/install -o -vvv whether the package is being loaded from composers cache.
